Dude….I’m seriously old!

02 Feb

Seriously, Where has the time gone? It’s 2014 and I sit here scratching my bald head wondering where the last year has gone. Not only has my first full year as a missionary flew by like Turbo on steroids, but so has the last 10 years of my life.

The events of this last year have really challenged me to think about what I want to do when I grow up. This last year has brought about some life events, that to be blatantly honest, make me feel old. For instance, my oldest daughter outgrew my wife, I married my oldest niece to a nice Christian man, and I started going bald. Whats next…40!

Amber's Wedding

Amber’s Wedding

Honestly, I sometimes wrestle with the fear that my life will pass leaving me with a heart of unfulfilled dreams and goals. There is so much I want to do for the Lord! There is so much that can be done for the Lord!

I guess all I can do at this point is continue to plow ahead. Continue to dream, continue to be available and continue to be willing to get my hands dirty doing the Lord’s work.

So as this year approaches with all of its work, trials and blessings, we ask for your prayers to stay focused and open to what God wants to accomplish through our family here in Honduras.

Thank you for all you do for us. Your prayers really do matter.

What an honor being a witness to Amber & Camerons wedding as you married them with words of wisdom, what a wonderful job you did! As you and your family, our family and your father and I watched we felt very privileged to be a part of such a blessing ! I realized while you spoke that you where fulfilling a prayer your father and I had prayed many years ago. Your service to God, your words spoken and your living example has been such a blessing to us as well as myself, you are a wonderful son and I feel very blessed to have you and wish we could spend more time together but my heart will always be with you and your family. I pray your trip home was good and I pray for your safety as well as your family and friends. The time will pass quickly and hopefully you will not have anymore breakage, praying for a BIGGER and BETTER vehicles for you guys! Please thank Ericka for the great food she made for us and Iam sending some stuff for her and her family as well as the orphanage . It will comedown with the CFC group. If there is anything else your father and Ican help you with let us know . Again we are sogratefulto have spent time with you all again and family and can’t wait for your return!
