So wut’s ya’ll beewding? (Read it with a deep southern slur…It’s more fun that way.)
Missionaries are builders…We build buildings, immunities to bacteria’s, language skills, relationships with people and our dependence upon the Lord.
This past month we spent time doing all of the above. We had our first building team of the year come and help us construct a cabin. I thoroughly enjoyed the comradery. It is always enjoyable for me to work hard beside other believers.
We also had a camp for people with cerebral palsy. It was fun building relationships with the kids. It was the second time I have seen this group and many remembered the bald gringo with bad Spanish.
With the group of Americans here for a couple of weeks, my Spanish took a hit…Time to tackle that full force again.
The family is still passing staph infections around. Please pray that we would move past this part of our transition. They are very painful.
My goals for the next month is to finish the cabin, create a detailed vision for the camp with a detailed plan of how we will accomplish it. I also need to continue to practice my Spanish. We have a lot to do with new electrical wires, septic systems and decisions on new staff.
Please pray us. We need it more than you can imagine. Believe me prayer works.
